UHMWPE, Kevlar and Aramid Fibres are very suitable for laser cutting which produces consistent laser processed edges and minimal heat affected zones.
Laser cutting vaporizes the material along the cut path, leaving a clean and sealed edge. The non-contact nature of laser processing allows applications to be processed with fine geometry which might be difficult to achieve with traditional mechanical methods.
